Joni Bro
mige is a graduating student from Lord Byng Secondary who has spent the last five years involved in sports and clubs around the school. In her final year, Joni spent her time focused on making the school a more inclusive and positive environment. Her role as a Peer Counsellor and Grade 8 Basketball Coach led her to build with the younger students and help them adjust to high school. In the school’s Grad Committee, Joni acted as co-President and organized numerous spirit and fundraising events. The Climate Justice club is where she spent her Tuesdays, organizing school and city-wide climate actions. Next year, Joni will be attending Ryerson University for Sports Media in the hopes of pursuing a career in Basketball Journalism.
