2020 How To Do Some Good Scholarship Winner – Sabine Fedder

Sabine Fedder is a member of the 2020 graduating class of Lord Byng Secondary School. She is honoured to be the first recipient of the Kindness Foundation of Canada – How To Do Some Good Scholarship.

Ever since grade 7 she has been involved in countless volunteer programs such as summer camps including an all girls sleepaway camp in Montreal, UBC soccer, Geering Up engineering camp, and Windsure Watersports. She also helped at numerous school events, and Wild Research as a bird bander. However, in 2019 she took this volunteering further by starting a new Lunch Buddy Club at her school for the students with disabilities and teaching art lessons at Point Grey Private Hospital. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she babysat for children of numerous physicians as childcare relief. She is thankful for the encouragement offered by the Kindness Foundation to pursue a helpful art program during the pandemic.
